I wear a Snoopy watch —
his arms flail when I’m not at my desk
because, like me, Snoopy writes.
He’s serious about it, like I am mostly
when I’m not looking forward to my food bowl,
or visiting my brother Spike out west
(great material out west),
or flying my Sopwith Camel
to save the world,
or visiting my best friend Woodstock.
It’s new beginnings everytime we write —
fresh white sheets of imagination,
hopeful for words.
Ever hopeful.
Written for the Peanuts prompt on Real Toads.
Dear Snoopy! 🙂

Yeah, he’s my fav. The grandkids think I wear the watch for them. But I’ve worn one since 1986.

What a wonderful basset of inspiration… taking writing seriously… don’t know if I have done it yet.

Thanks, Debi. Yup. Snoopy and I are optimists — ever hopeful for a few words…
