Chancing Love

Not a dive’s precision arc.
Instead a lemming run and plunge,
oblivious to depth,
temperature, whether
water’s in the pool.

Cynics shake their heads.
“Only a fool…” they say.
“Yes, yes!” I answer,
and drop my towel.

  1. Sometimes it’s necessary to make that jump.. to feel the throbbing of the heart as we embrace conviction and hope 💜 Beautiful writing as always 😊

  2. I loved this humorous little poem, which could serve as a metaphor, I think, for the ‘just-do-it’ way in which we approach much of life … or, perhaps, probably should.
